John O. Roy rediscovered his love of photography 10 years ago, when his soon-to-be- father-in-law Alan gave him a simple point and shoot digital camera.   When he was younger, John had a passion for photography, but without direction he allowed that passion to fade.  He was happy to rediscover his artistic spirit.
After much soul searching, and with his wife’s encouragement, John decided to make photography a larger portion of his life.  He enrolled in an intensive photography program at the Center for Digital Imaging Art at Boston University.  There world class photographers taught John to refine his photography skills.
After graduation in 2008, John began to photograph weddings and fell in love with the artistry of capturing someone’s special day.  Weddings are an important step in the lives of a couple who decide to become a family.  They invite their special guests to celebrate their love and dance the night away. Their wedding day will go by in a “flash.”  John’s images will make your memories come flying back and last a lifetime.
A small portion of all proceeds will be donated to www.ctf.org.  They are an organization promoting the awareness and research of Neurofibromatosis, which John and his daughter Carin (KA-REN) are afflicted with.  (Plus several of John’s family members)  “NF is more prevalent than Cystic Fibrosis, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and Huntington’s Disease combined. The disorder is characterized by tumors that grow randomly throughout the body on nerve endings. ” (www.ctf.org
